Hopefully Allen can finish this week, all that is left is the trim around the basement, closet shelves and install new sliding door. I assume that the door is the highest on the list with the weather getting colder.

Moving to Kitchen

The basement is taped and Allen has started kitchen. Delivered a load of cabinets to storage today one more load to go.

My First Post!

Cabin remodel is moving along, and it appears Stan will get new cabinets up soon. I'm thinking ahead....what about a cabin Thanksgiving family weekend, maybe pitting the kitchen back together in the NEW CABINETS AND DRAWERS!!!! We can put a turkey in the oven and the side dishes can be figured out. Think about this. Maybe it will be done sooner, but just a thought for a fun family get together. Love, MOM

Progress is moving forward

Sheet rock is mostly finished, Allen plans to tape& tecture next week. Up coming we need to remove old cabinets and get new ones hauled to cabin. I am thinking next weekend anyone available?

Talked with him this AM. He faxed bill to Stan. Everything is going slow so hopefully it will be done by winter.

Hey everyone, let's Blog!

We met with Allan and he is going to be great to work with. Stan and Allan walked around discussing wall depths for heaters, window issues, and plumbing. Really the only big concern now is whether to have the window project engineered. I think once Stan pulls off some of that panaling upstairs he will have a better idea. Plumbing downstairs is no issue. We will have a new sink where the closet is. All the plumbing is in an outside wall in back. Allan wants to begin mid-August so the demo must begin on the basement only. Stan and Brad are planning to go up next Monday and Tuesday to demo the basement. I believe Carrie and Mom will be there too-correct?? Hopefully you guys can put away all the linens, knick-knacks, games, etc. I have big plastic tubs that will be sent up with either mom or Stan. Stan can take them down to storage shed to get out of the way for now. We will be gone the 1st week of Aug. and I have too much library work to do so I'm out for now.
